Resources

It is imperative to me that at-risk, LGBTQ+ people receive the compassion, care, and supportive community they deserve. I am an advocate for supportive housing and try my best to be an LGBTQ+ ally, and would be devastated if I did not take this opportunity to urge you to support organizations in your own area or in the world at large who provide assistance to those who need it most.

Please note: not every state in America even has an LGBTQ+ youth homeless shelter. I’ve tried to provide links for other LGBTQ+ youth services if a shelter is unavailable. I have also tried to indicate programs that are church- or religiously-affiliated, as I understand that church-affiliated care may be triggering for many. For more information on the specific issues that face LGBTQ+ youth, visit True Colors United.
