Silver Screen Sleuths

Silver Screen Sleuths is the new podcast from Fuckbois of Literature creator, Emily J. Edwards. The premise? Mystery and thriller authors get together to discuss mystery movies and TV shows.

Who better to discuss the truimphs and tragedies of depicting mystery than the people who pore over every clue and detail? Sustain tension for eighty-thousand words and make you question everyone? Translating mystery from page to screen takes talent– and as the creators of awarded, best-selling, and fan-favorite tales, we’re know when it’s done well.

Mindy Carlson, author of the award-nominated mystery novel HER DYING DAY, joins host Emily J. Edwards to discuss two of the most famous adaptations of Agatha Christie's opus, MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS. The 1974, Sidney Lumet-directed vehicle starring Albert Finney, Sean Connery, Vanessa Redgrave, and Ingrid Bergman was nominated for, and won, countless Oscars. Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh boldly chose to launch his career as Poirot with a remake that was nominated for, uh, slightly less prestigious awards.
